Admit it, the trickiest part of doing makeup is applying eyeliner. However, nothing elevates your look than a perfectly drawn dramatic winged eyeliner. It looks super-hot and complements almost every kind of look. With winged liner being the hottest trend you cannot let your shaky hands and lack of proficiency keep you away from achieving this feat. Follow our step by step tutorial to create cat-eyes and wings that are sharp enough to kill.
Ways to Create the Perfect Winged Liner:
You can create the perfect winged eyeliner look in several ways. Check them out:
#1: Winged Eyeliner with Angled Eyeliner Brush:
The Angled Eyeliner brush is specially designed to create the perfect winged eyeliner. For this, Dip the angle brush in your eyeliner pot and place it on the outer edge of your eye creating an angle with your temples. Place the same brush over the line you just drew in an inverted fashion to create the upper curve of your wing. Fill in the blank space between the lines with your eyeliner brush and extend the liner to the inner corner as you normally do.
#2: Winged Eyeliner with FreeHand:
Yes, it needs a lot of practice, but once your hand starts to get it, you can create the perfect winged liner shape. For this, take a pencil eyeliner and draw an extended line on the outer edge of your eyes making an angle with your eyebrows. Adjust the length according to your desired length of the wing. Place the pencil where this line ends and draw a line that flicks inward with a slight curve and extends the line to the inner corner of your eye. If you find it difficult to extend the same line in on one go, extend it at least halfway into your upper lash line and then continue till the inner corner. Try to make sure that the line thins gradually, especially if you have smaller eyes. Now, fill up the gap and finish the look.
#3: Winged Eyeliner with Tape:
Your scotch tape or good old cellophane is also capable of helping you to draw perfect winged eyeliners. Just place the tape along the edge of your eyes in the winged liner angle. Trace along the angled edge with your eyeliner to draw the wing using the outlines of the tape. Finish off by extending the line along your upper lash line.
#4: Perfect Winged Eyeliner with Spoon:
Head to your kitchen and pick up a spoon to give you the perfect winged eyeliner you always desired. Hold the handle of the spoon at the outer corner of your eye and draw the straight line following the edge of the spoon. Now place the rounded portion of the spoon and cup your eyelids. Fill in the spaces between the outline and extend the liner to the upper lash line just in the regular eyeliner. And you are done.
#5: Winged Eyeliner with Swipe Card:
Use your credit or debit card for helping you draw your winged eyeliner, instead of paying to buy expensive stencils and tools for achieving neat wings with your eyeliners. You can do this by holding the straight edge of the business card on the edge of the eye and trace along. Extend the eyeliner like a normal one and fill in the gaps to complete the look.
